Hometaping review of "Eleven Ways To Disorder".
Coming from the riff-raff magazine, 1998

" Eleven ways To Disorder " is .nude's first CD-R album.
.nude is François Milet's solo project.

Once again, it's hard to believe he's Belgian and not American.
Mostly acoustic, the songs on this album are melodically lo-fi, not unlike Eric's Trip, Lou Barlow, The Secret Stars or Elliott Smith.

The influence of Low and The Lemonheads is also tangible.

Nude elaborates his own universe somewhere between the two of them. "Eleven Ways To Disorder" is a good album that you can listen to repeatedly from beginning to end without being bored.

The lyrics that we guess are partly biographical are thoughtful, direct, melancholic and senseful.

When you listen to this album, you say to yourself that in 10 years you will listen to it with the same urgency.

As a bonus track we find a successful cover of Julie Doiron (ex-Eric's Trip). Two songs are true irresistable jewels: "The Secret", tearful and sunny, and "Higher Mountains", punchy, noisy and ultra melodic.

Other stand out songs are the touching "I Should Have Known", "Everything's Blurred", "The Things You're Afraid Of" and "Radio".
